Do You Love Where You Live?

I do!!
I have lived in this shore town my entire life...
except for my time away at nursing school, I have always been right here.
Sometimes I dream about moving away,
but I can't right now and given the opportunity, I'm not sure I would.
The town has changed a lot since I was a kid, not all changes have been for the better.
I miss the open space, driving an hour to go food shopping and so on...now the town is so overcrowded.
But I started school here, graduated from the town's only high school,
got married here and raised my family here.

This tree is in Point Pleasant
one town over from us.
When I talk about where I live...
I include "all" of the surrounding towns that make up the Jersey Shore.

This tree is next to a favorite lunch spot we frequent often.
The Beanery in Point Pleasant has the best sandwiches anywhere.

Each holiday, season or special occasion they decorate the tree and it is always so lovely.

Right now, it looks like this...

I often wonder if all towns or areas have the same spirit.

We attended many car shows this summer and there will be many more during the fall.
The shore area is big on car shows.
We just happened upon this one while we were driving home from the inlet.
It was small, in a Stewart's Root Beer Parking Lot.
We had just eaten at our favorite seafood shack, we were not hungry,
but decided to stop and check out the cars.

A Chevelle....this was the hubs first car.
His was a beautiful royal blue with a large white racing stripe on it.
We both loved that car.

Chevelle SS

This car was beautiful, both outside and inside.

These 2 were beauties also, I like the really old cars best...
and the Chevelle's also, because it was the hubs first car.

There is always a Craft Show, Festival or
Farmers Market somewhere.

Do you see this type of support and activity where you live?
Do you love where you live?

I do love where I live, it is sad to see a lot of the farms being developed. It would be nice to live closer to the beaches. I love the decorated trees. I do see a lot of Farmers markets and now the Autumn festivals in the area. Take care, have a great day!

I do love where I live both in Florida and in Pennsylvania -They are both very different- Florida is hopping with people, things to do, and traffic. In Pa. I live in a small town, quiet, and peaceful .They are a nice contrast for each. I think I would love a summer place at the Jersey Shore but it's too many places to juggle. We live an hour away so we can visit by the day.

Debbie, DH and I are both from New Orleans. We lived in Florida for the first 2 years of our marriage, but have now been in Texas for 54 years. I love New Orleans - with the Mississippi River, Lake Pontchartrain, and the Gulf coast all being right there... and the food is great and most of our family there - or thereabouts. Florida is great to visit, didn't like living there (Palm Bay/Satellite Beach area). And I love the openness of Texas... but do miss being close to water (North Texas). Your area sounds wonderful - almost like where our daughter lives in the Texas Hill Country.

Beautiful photos, Debbie! I love the vintage cars!
I live in Montreal, Canada, and I absolutely love where I live! There is so much to see and do, and I never get bored.

Lovely photos. We have a lot of things going on all the time. We are in a tourist area and sometimes it gets to crowded for me.

Love the car show pictures. I love where I live. We have Cool Deadwood Nights. It is a car show with concerts. I remember when it started with 4 cars. This year they capped the parade at 900! Gotta love that.
