The weather was perfect yesterday, perfect I say...
providing us with an opportunity for a day of awesome firsts.
The first of our firsts was a picnic at the Point Pleasant Inlet we dined on delicious BLT sandwiches.
We saw four large fishing boats, it seems the boats come in around 3 pm.
It was "a little" windy, (huge understatement)
and I had to decide whether to take pictures of the boats or hold on to my sandwich, I chose the later.
Although the wind did get it once,
it blew onto the "dirty" picnic table and the hubs said to follow the three second rule and eat it, so I did.
There were a lot of Gulls hanging out on the sea wall.
After our picnic and a ride around Lake of the Lilies, we went for ice cream.
Our first of the season and it was delightful, and also so nice that we were able to sit outside and enjoy it.

I had Cappuccin- O - Friar Cone
The hubs had
soft vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, wet walnuts and whipped cream, the hubs said it was delicious.
Afterward, he had a "belly" ache.

We had BLTs for dinner! Definitely a good day for it. It's so nice to be outside again.

Debbie, any day at the Jersey shore is a good one, especially before the onset of the summer crowds. We also recently had our first ice cream of the season at a local creamery. It was so good as yours and the hubs looked too!
Hello Debbie, a BLT sandwich is always good! I do love ice cream, especially butterscotch or the soft vanilla from the machine like you can get at McDonald's. Your photos are beautiful and thank you so much for sharing your posts, I really enjoy your blog.

Debbie, I absolutely love your pics! You two have so much fun. Love sharing vicariously all your adventures. And had to show DH the ice-cream pics... he LOVES ice-cream too.
