I live in a really big house, the home the hubs built, the home we raised our 2 sons in.
It was perfect back then, lot's of space, bedrooms, bathrooms...
but now the house is way too big for just the two of us.
We have thought seriously about moving, but can't find anything we really love...
and everything they build today is huge.
I started hearing about and seeing these tiny homes and I have become obsessed.
Here are a few I would love to live in...
They are just tiny homes,
built on tiny parcels of land where they live happily forever.

Hey girl, it's me your loser friend. Things are, to say the least, hectic here.
Now, those are so me really cute tiny houses! But somehow, I think y'all would miss your family home. :)
xoxo
These little houses are adorable. A large house for two people is expensive to maintain. I know because there are two of us too.
Hugs and regards Dear Debbie:)
Those tiny homes are really nice... every one of them. But although going smaller may be a good idea, going tiny may not be. Usually there are stairs and as we age, that could be a problem. Our house isn't huge, but it is a bit big for the 2 of us to clean and we haven't been able to find reliable house-hold help. Your house (and it's location) is so great, I think it would be hard for you to give it up, Debbie.
Barb and I live in just under 100sf several months of the year. The rest of the year it's in our 1500sf house. If I had to pick the minimum square footage for a year round house it would be in the 1200 foot range. You can comfortably live in that without tripping over each other.
Tiny homes are quite cozy. Not for me but we have to downsize from what we have now too.
Those are really cute, but I don't know.....
the tiny houses are cute and fun to look at. I could never actually live in one....I am a maximalist with way too much "stuff", ha ha LOL. Mementoes and collections, BOOKS, knick-knacks, animalsLOL, pictures etc. Your present home with the pretty pool is really really nice, with all your pretty flowers and all can't imagine you leaving it.
I loved looking at those cozy little houses. How cute!
Hugs and blessings, Debbie!
These look so neat and they are very clever how they use them, but I still think I may feel a bit claustrophobic in them, the ones with the little stairs I would not be able to do either, I need a good railing.
Many downsize when the children fly the nest, while some wait until retirement.
BUT, wherever you live home is where the heart is :)
All the best Jan
We are going to stay in a tiny house for a weekend soon!
Thank you for sharing these fantastic photos of tiny homes. I am fascinated by them. Right now, we keep the house we have for visits from our many children and grandchildren. Since July, we have had guests almost every week. The laundry had been enormous. So I have come up with a new way of doing all that.
Meanwhile, in my heart, I would love to simplify more.
Blessings!
They are both charming from the outside, and so cleverly designed on the inside. I can see myself living in a tiny home, as long as I did not need to sleep in a loft - that holds no appeal for me at all. I like the idea of a Murphy bed though.
