Driving in the car is still difficult for me,
the hubs has a little anxiety as well, but we are trying to get out more often, and it is helping.
The car we were driving during the accident was totaled.
We got a check from Chubb very quickly,
and the car dealership found us a car right away which is no easy task these days!
Both Chubb Insurance and the car dealership were outstanding,
we took delivery on our new car on October 25th.
The new car is almost identical to what we were driving only better...
- the silver lining -
it is a 2023 and there are not too many of those on the road right now!
Now we need to name the car, here's what we are choosing between...
Silver Shenanigans
Silver Swan
Silver Sleigh
Steely Dan
Do you have a favorite?? Tell me in the comments and help us name the new car.
ooooooh and p.s., I got my cast off yesterday and the arm is feeling good!!

Your new car looks great! I was wondering how you were doing. These scary situations take a while to get over. I like Silver Swan.
That's a beautiful car, so nice that both the insurance company and the car dealership were easy to work with. Buying a new vehicle is one of the worse things ever.
I like Silver Swan. It's regal and stately..just like a swan.
Wow!
A beautiful, very elegant car. The name fits it perfectly: Silver Swan.
Hugs and greetings.
Hello,
I am glad your arm has healed and is feeling good. The new vehicle is pretty.
I agree with the comments above with the name Silver Swan. Take care, enjoy your day!
Quicksilver--- but I love Silver Swan too!!! So glad your cast is off!!! Yay!!
It's still a miracle that you both survived that crash. I'm so thankful!!!!!!!! Love the new wheels! I think Silver Sleigh is perfect. Hope you get more comfortable...I'm sure it will take time.
I can tell you that it does take time. My accident was years ago... and I drove a little after, but couldn't relax (that moment of impact kept popping into my head) and then the pandemic came and we didn't go anywhere, so I haven't driven since. But time heals or so they say. I was taken more to 'Silver Swan' than the others, but you will know what fits best. Our car is a Lincoln MKC (we call him Mike-y).
Yay! So glad to hear your arm has healed! I can only imagine how tough it would be in a vehicle after such an accident! Steely Dan sounds great to me.
So pleased that you are getting out and about.
Good news about the cast coming off.
That looks a lovely car, I would choose 'Silver Swan'
All the best Jan
SOOO glad you're getting better and have the cast off. Gosh, I adored an old VW bus we had, and named it Buster Blue Bus. They're top-heavy and tipped over when we drove on ice. Haven't named a car since. Your new one is beautiful, more like a Silver Starship. Had a semi side-swipe me once, and I'm still nervous driving alongside semis. Plan a nice trip to enjoy your new wheels! Linda in Kansas
Oh, shenanigans, definitely!
I know what you mean about still feeling nervous in the car, I am still that way. Glad everything went smoothly getting the new car. I like the Silver Shenanigans. I bet it feels nice to have the cast off :)
I am glad you are healing. I like Silver Shenanigans, it is a fun name.
Hi Debbie, I am so glad that you were able to get a new car so quickly and by the way, it's beautiful. I like Silver Swan. Happy too that your cast came off! Hugs to you both!
I hadn't heard about your accident and had just popped by from the Furry Gnome's blog. I was wondering why you had not been part of Saturday's Critters. I hope you continue to improve and get out & about. So sorry to hear of the accident. Be safe.
Silver Bullet!
I like Steely Dan - hoping it will be a protection with all that Steel!
What a beautiful car, love the color and glad you got your cast off and it has healed. We have never named our cars so guess I have no preference but Silver Swan seems to be the favorite.
Nice car! Looks like a sleigh to me.
Sorry your car got totaled. I'd be nervous as well. I'm riding with my son as he practices driving and he's getting better and better but I realize anew just how complex a task driving is.
I'm a big Steely Dan fan but name your car a name that makes you happy.
Such a scary thing - glad that you are healing and that things turned out well. A 'Silver Lining' for you! Such a pretty vehicle, definitely a 'silver swan', although I do love Steely Dan - it's always on my playlist :) x K
Hi Debbie, I was so sorry to hear about your accident. I hope you are continuing to heal. I know the anxiety that follows a bad accident. Lots of hugs! Bonnie
