- I was taking a bath -
This female mallard was having so much fun splashing around in the water,
you could feel her excitement.
She was so fun to watch, not a care in the world, one would "almost" feel like joining her.

Afterward, there was some serious preening going on.
When she finished up, she was ready to rest...and she did just that!!

Watching ducks and geese bathe is fascinating. They really get into it.
Can you imagine getting yourself all twisted around like she did. Lordy, I couldn't do it but just in case.... haha.... can I call on you to come get me outta that tangle!

Ducks get very enthused about bath time! It's fun capturing all the flying water drops!
The blue on her feathers is so eye catching. She sure looks like she was enjoying that water.

How you manage to get these spectacular shots of this bird, I do not know. You must publish a bird book. I love your nature photos so much. I really am one of your biggest fans. You do bring such beauty into the world through your camera. Sending hugs your way!
