On Tuesday, instead of walking at the reservoir,
the hubs suggested we go to Allaire State Park, he could walk and I could ride my bike.
Bikes are not permitted at the reservoir.
I love riding at Allaire, especially at dusk, the park is filled with deer,
and there are a lot less people here than at the reservoir.
About 500 feet in to my ride I came across this beauty.
Curious about me, this guy hung around for several minutes before scampering off.
Out in this open field, there were maybe 10 deer "cutting the grass",
and checking me out.
I saw 2 babies...that still had their spots.
The deer in this park are very tame...
and it is a great spot to view the little ones.
And on my way back to the car I spotted this buck.
Or you might say 1/2 a buck.
Or you might say 1/2 a buck.
He tried to pretend he wasn't interested in me,
but clearly he was.
I also like to ring my bike bell,
it doesn't scare them, I do it so they will remember me, next time I visit!!

Beautiful photos! I'm laughing about the bell! Kinda like the ice cream man. :-)
Wonderful shots of a truly lovely creature.

Always super to see animals in the wild.

Oh wow you were able to get some great pics of them, it's nice they are in a protected place that they don't have to worry about being killed. Those little ones are just too cute, love their little spots, looks like you enjoyed a wonderful ride!
Lindos e bem apanhados.
Um abraço e bom fim de semana.

These kinds of lawn mowers, I love to spot (pardon the pun) myself, Debbie!!! They are so elegant...:)JP
ha ha ... for a half buck you can get half a cup of coffee.
They are such pretty animals. Still smiling at 1/2 a buck!
Wonderful photos of these gorgeous creatures...:)
Oh, I love the fawns! So pretty!
Good one!
Great Whitetail shots, I've seen some, too. But no cute fawns for me yet!

Great pictures.
I've been drooling over the new "old" bikes I've seen. I just never got used to those hand brakes.
These are some great photos!!
Peekaboo! Have a great week ahead!. That's what the 1st deer seems to say.
I've only captured the fawns on the trail cam! Thanks for sharing these.
They truly are such wonderful creatures (yes, I can even still say that after they made dinner out of my garden!)
I just love that little baby!
What amazing photos - love seeing the spotted fawns! They look so happy and healthy! xx K
Beautiful photos of these lovely animals!
What great captures, it's like being there too!
These photos of the deer are fabulous. The little fawns are so precious. Interesting for the buck to have only one antler. I am sure they will remember you! Hugs~
Hello Debbie, wonderful sighting of the deer. I just love the spotted fawns. We could use these grass cutters. I am still catching up, as always thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Have a happy day and week ahead!
