Little Updates...

During Spring and with Summer coming,
I always feel "slightly" inspired to do a few little updates around the house.
Now when I say "little", I mean teeny, tiny,
so don't get too excited!!

My little entry way table got a face lift...
more of a seashore, beach feel.

It all started with this "must have" piece from

A new candlestick with a beach scented candle,
my favorite picture of the hubs and I and a
purchased piece of sea glass.

Sand and Shells

For the living room, I picked up these two adorable ottomans
at about $ 120.00 each, I thought they were a steal.

Beautifully constructed...

the top "flips" over into a dining tray,

and the base is open for storing extra pillows, blankets or fun games.
In a pinch, these could even be used for extra seating.
At night, we pull them up to the couch,
for even more comfy t.v. viewing.

I switched up the books on the coffee table and added
the newest edition, number 4, of my blog in print.

I put two pictures under the glass on the coffee table,
I am trying to decide if I should add a few more.
It's a great spot for pictures, but I think it makes the table look too busy.
What do you think?

i don't like clutter so i'd opt for no photos under the glass top. i just love that beach rules sign - it is so very you. :)

These are fun updates! I love the sign, and the ottomans seem like such a great idea. I'm impressed that you've printed your blog - what a great idea. I'd say experiment with the photos to see what you like best. I get stressed when things in my house look busy - but that's me. More photos might work well with your style.

Eeek - just retread my comment. Did it come out wrong? Your style doesn't look busy to me ( I hope that's not how it sounded).

These 10+1 rules are not a problem to follow.

Does it mean that I can also own this cottage?

I have glass on my coffee-table too, never thought about putting pictures under it but I think I'll give it a try. Thanks for the tip :)

Love the ottomans!

Updates that are quick and easy are always fun, Debbie. Your home does look very inviting and the multi-purpose ottomans were a great find too. More photos under the glass could get a bit cluttered looking, but you would have to decide on what look you prefer.

Thanks for sharing this one. I really like the ottomans; I think we need to get a couple of these. I also loved that you have your blog in print; I am going to think about doing this one.
Loved this one and blessings to you!
