Rural Thursday, It's All About Horses

As you all know, I am a bit of a girly, girly.
I don't really like to get dirty and I would probably last about five minutes on a farm.
Maybe ten because I like to wander about.

That said, I love all things rural.

Barns, farms horses, cows, goats...you get the idea!!
I have always dreamt about living on a farm.
Of course in my dream, it looks a lot like it does on T.V.

I'm wearing a pretty white, flowing shirt, cute cowgirl flip-flops
and my make-up is perfect.
Truth be told, I don't even wear make-up, but you get the idea.

Here's what my barn would look like, sweet!!

These would be my horses.

I would name this horse Brandy,

here's Spot!!

Aren't they beautiful!!

They both had white spots in front,

both had shiny coats and were well cared for.

Both horses were gentle and friendly, I was able to pet them
and they loved the attention!
I spoke softly to them, telling them how pretty they were,
how much I enjoyed being around them.

Brandy looked a little sad as I got ready to leave and said goodbye.

Sweet dreams are made of this...

Oh Debbie this is awesome I have a picture in my head of you in your flip flops beautiful dress and your hair blowing in the wind while riding one of those gorgeous horses. You then ride into that beautiful barn and dismount and head into your beautiful house. Oh I love this place what a great time for you.
Great shots I want to join in your dream now. B

Farms are great in our dreams. Wonderful images of the horses. I grew up in the country, sort of on a small farm, but I am not a farm girl at all.The animals are beautiful, but I choose to stay away from them.Pictures are good,I can use my long lens.LOL

I'll be over. My spot in the guest room is reserved, I know. Too bad the farm hands and the cooks have to do all the work while we wander, take photos and ... either post them or scrapbook them. I like your world!

I loved your daydream photo essay -very creative!

I would wear cowboy boots (I would now but my calves are too thick), wellies when it rained, a pick cowgirl hat and flannel shirts now that it's fall. :)

Those are definitely some beautiful horses and what a great looking barn. I think you better stick to your current life doesn't sound like you would be quite at home on the farm. Neither would I...too much work!!

I think I have the same dream you have. I would love to live on a farm and this one looks especially inviting. I love horses and although I have rode them a time or two; they scare me a little bit. I am a tomboy in heart and often times played cowboys and Indians on my Dad's farm. Farming is a lot of hard work; so it doesn't have the same appeal as it used too.
Loved the pictures and thoughts!

I had a dream like that once... but I moved to a farm and that was the end of that! Lol.

Love your dream and how you illustrated it for us with your beautiful photos. xo

When I was a child my Dad was stationed in Maryland twice and as a result a lot of my childhood memories center on that state. I LOVED horses, and even had a friend who lived on a horse farm and owned several. In those early years the fields of green pasture surrounded by the white fencing and horses gently grazing became one of my favorite "motifs"...The barns were ordered and beautiful, the rolling hills of green so inviting. Like you, I see this picture as the perfect rural fantasy!

Definitely a very sweet dream. I think I'd rather have horses in my barn than cows, too! Thanks for stopping by.
