Everyone Loves Peanuts...

And when I say everyone...

I mean this guy!!

As I set out my quality, shelled peanuts on the deck rail,

preparing to take pictures for World Bird Wednesday

I could feel someone was watching me!!

I thought he was sticking his tongue out, but it's a peanut!!

Cool shot, right!!

He stood guard over his peanuts

and gave those Blue Jays a run for their money!!

While pausing for a nice, long, refreshing drink,

this Blue Jay was able to quickly take advantage and fill er' up!!

Love & Hugs From Afar

A beautiful act of kindness, a beautiful gesture of love!!

Jills soft kind hands made this gorgeous "purple" card just for me!!

Inside, a hand written note with an important reminder for me,

it melted my heart and brought me unmeasured joy!!

There was also a Spa Candle to be sure I take a little time for myself!!

It is purple of course!!

And the cute little hearts work wonderfully, for my favorite meme!!

Feed The Birds...

The Chickadees come all day long.

They are always hungry, can eat twice their weight in food,

and are extremely friendly this time of year!!

I love the Tufted Titmouse

They have the brightest eyes, the cutest whistle like call,

and they love peanuts!!

The Blue Jay's also love peanuts...

and if I must say so myself,

this guy is going to choke and need CPR one day!!

And clearly his mom never taught him "not" to fly with food in his mouth!!

And look at the size of the tail on this Mourning Dove,

I just adore these pigeonlike birds!!

There is standing room only these days at the feeders,

and I could not be happier!!

A Close Encounter,

with a Muscovy Duck

Some would say he is an ugly duckling,

but any creature that lets me get this close to them,

is beautiful in my book!!

I do think, that he thought, I had food!!

Living at the Jersey Shore

I can't imagine life without this...

The gorgeous beaches in Manasquan, New Jersey

and the inlet, only 10 minutes from home!!

It looked like this yesterday,

even in frigid temperatures, the boats come and go.

The seagulls fly overhead,

and willingly pose for pictures!!

The calm water brings me comfort!!

The Herring Gulls were floating,

and soaring!!

The view was breathtaking,

and full of surprises!!
