Saturday Critters #603

I have not been good about photographing my birds lately and because of that lack of interaction,
they seem to be more timid.
They are more anxious about my presence when I stand by the window.
I fill their feeders every day, I make sure the bird bath is clean and has fresh water.
The hubs scrubbed it yesterday and filled it with clean water.
They are well cared for!

A few days ago, the birds were very active at the feeders and I took just a few pictures.

Female House Finch

Catbird

Black Capped Chickadee

This is not the best picture but how stinkin cute is that face?!

Female Cardinal

This is the last of my Black Swallowtail butterflies for now.
This is a boy, they have more yellow, the girls have more blue.
I have 3 more chrysalis from the end of last summer that have yet to emerge.
I am not sure they will emerge at a later date but I will keep them safe, just in case.

Happy Independence Day

This "holiday tree" sits beside our favorite sandwich shop
in Point Pleasant, NJ

The theme and decorations change for each holiday.

It is decorated in red, white and blue...

and the stars and stripes for the entire summer.

People leave hand decorated shells at the base of the tree.

This beautiful flag made of shells is at our favorite beach, Howe Street Beach in Bay Head, NJ
I love living here...

- happy 4th of July to all my friends and followers -
