Saturday Critters #614
I did not have any critters to share today...
so yesterday the hubs took me out for a drive, to all our usual spots, so I had something to share today.
First up...
Lake of the Lilies
I was surprised to see them this time of year, but it was a very warm and sunny day.
I visit often and they never shy off or fly away.
I have read many times that Swawn have an excellent memory, and I believe they do.
I was so close to this Swan and there was nothing but trust between us.
Next stop was...
Spring Lake
I saw three Turtles, one in plain view and two that were a little more difficult to photograph.
There was only one Egret.
I saw a lot of Mallards, they were all napping!
The hubs commented that he should be napping too!

I Promised A Little Fun
I took so many pictures in my wildflower garden this summer that never made an appearance here.
I have been working on a few craft projects and have kept myself busy indoors for various reasons.
"Trick or Treaters"
and also for the children with the best costumes.
I have only made 5 but I will get back to them, I would like to have 10 to give out, with candy of course.
I just got paint from Amazon, orange and black to paint the undersides.
I started this blanket as a Christmas gift for my son
Knitted with Sierra Yarn
Andean Solid
60% Baby Alpaca and 40% Pima Cotton
I ordered this as a kit from Sierra Yarn, the kit included everything I needed,
the yarn, needles, pattern and a tag, I really like that.
Sometimes, a deep cleaning is necessary to find hidden treasures.
I started the process last year and forgot all about them.
I remember now there were more, now to find them...and I am not sure what I am going to do with them.
Any suggestions?
I made up my Fall Bucket List...It has some really great ideas for fall.

How Bout Those Chiefs?
My KC Chiefs lost again on Sunday, what a heartbreak.
They played better, looked better and I know they are waiting to get their first win this Sunday...
because I will be there!
They are playing the Giants, our areas local team, so I will only have to travel one hour to see them.
I have my stadium bag, my gear, and binoculars...
our seats are pretty close but those binoculars will give me a great, up close, look at Patrick.
We have our tickets and boy was that a job.
Buying the tickets, no problem...getting them, well that is a "whole nother" animal.
There are no paper tickets, no, no and you can't get your tickets by pulling them up on your phone
and taking a screenshot, oh no.
You have to download the Apple Wallet App. and figure out how to put your tickets in your Apple Wallet.
To say that is a full time job for a 66 year old woman,
who did not grow up with a computer, is a huge understatement.
But...I did it!
I know this is quite boring to most of my followers...
I wrote this to share and memorialize my experience buying tickets to the game, who knew?
You would have to live here to know just how time consuming and funny it was.
I am also writing my post for tomorrow and it will highlight some of the projects I have been working on.
Better, "funner" stuff!

More From The Inlet
If you read yesterday's blog entry about my
you know I have never seen this many boats at the Inlet during one visit.
Here's the second half of the pictures I took during this visit.
I have seen all of these boats during past visits,
but I just can't control myself from raising the camera to my eye and snap a picture.

The hubs said "you can't have a picnic without a few ants"
We saw all of these boats, took all of these pictures within a few hours, during our lunch.
On our way out, we checked in on our lock...
We placed this lock "Chuck & Debbie" September 20,2020, during Covid.
The lock looked like this when we hung it, purple of course.
Our names are engraved on one side, on the other, our wedding date.

A Picnic At The Inlet
Saturday, was a sunny, breezy, beautiful day and we decided to have a picnic at the inlet.
Picnic was already crossed off the Bucket List several times,
but you can never have too many picnics, right?
We ordered BLT sandwiches from The Beanery, that's our favorite sandwich spot, packed up some chips,
drinks, sweet treats and off we went.
I have to tell you that I have never seen so many boats going in and out of the inlet during a visit.
We saw large privately owned recreational boats, leisure crafts, party boats and commercial fishing boats.
I wish I had started to count, we saw sooooo many.

Fish Mongerall
Norma Kay III
Jamaica II
Here we are at our favorite Picnic Table at the inlet.
We dined on BLT"S on toasted ciabatta rolls, chips and sweet tea.
This was about the best picnic we've had this year.

There are 16 more I will share tomorrow.
You can skip over my post tomorrow if the boats don't interest you...
I did not photograph all of the smaller boats, I let the "little ones" get by...
thanks goodness or you guys would be looking at 3 days of boats.
