I'm home, my batteries are recharged and I am feeling better.
Before my unplanned hospital stay we visited St. John's Island in Asbury Park.
I have lived in this area my entire life, but I have never been to St. John's Island.
I knew not of its existence.
I read an Instagram post from someone who shared pictures...
they saw a Night Heron there, I had to go.
This beautiful rhododendron tree is in the center of the island.
This rainbow bridge is located on the island, many people have participated sharing
memories of their loved animals.
Then out of the corner of my eye, I saw the Night Heron.
It tried to hide but was no match for me...
I have never seen one so close, or had the opportunity to photograph it.
Asbury Park has a "remember me" tree program.
The trees are tagged like this.
It's very cute and very uncomfortable.

Glad to read that you are back home and enjoying a new adventure, Debbie. I have never photographed a night heron and your photo captures were wonderful. That seat could use some cushioning for sure😏
Hello Debbie,
I am so glad you are feeling better. Looks like a nice park, I like the cute bench. I am glad you were able to see the Night Heron. Your photos are awesome. Take care, enjoy your day and the new week ahead.

I have never seen a Night Heron! Thank you so much for sharing!!! Absolutely beautiful. What a lovely park (Island) I love the pet memorial area. How precious.
Love your cute outfit Debbie! I believe we had one or two " protected " spots for the night herons in Charleston, I'd have to go look in my pictures to see. So glad you're out of the hospital and I sure hope you're feeling alot better and going on adventures soon! ITS 🔥 HOT here, and lots of thundershowers. Merry Monday!

Your photos are gorgeous, Debbie.
so good to hear you are home and feeling better. Isn't it amazing that we live in a place and have not seen it all. So fun to come across new things later :) Looks like a lovely park and so pretty with everything blooming. How cool to have seen the Heron and got such close up pictures, very exciting!
