I'm home, my batteries are recharged and I am feeling better.
Before my unplanned hospital stay we visited St. John's Island in Asbury Park.
I have lived in this area my entire life, but I have never been to St. John's Island.
I knew not of its existence.
I read an Instagram post from someone who shared pictures...
they saw a Night Heron there, I had to go.
I immediately visited this magical island back in May, which is really more like a park.
This beautiful rhododendron tree is in the center of the island.
This rainbow bridge is located on the island, many people have participated sharing
memories of their loved animals.
Then out of the corner of my eye, I saw the Night Heron.
It tried to hide but was no match for me...
The trees are tagged like this.
There is a new bench in the shape of an alligator...
It's very cute and very uncomfortable.
Today...such a beautiful day!

so good to hear you are home and feeling better. Isn't it amazing that we live in a place and have not seen it all. So fun to come across new things later :) Looks like a lovely park and so pretty with everything blooming. How cool to have seen the Heron and got such close up pictures, very exciting!
