3 stories of cars on display, some are here permanently, some cars leave and are replaced with others.
The museum is immaculate they have a huge variation of cars and the staff is so nice and helpful.
There are some interactive displays for the young and the young at heart.
Turn the wheel!
We are pretending to drive a Tucker 48.
When you turn the steering wheel the center headlight comes on and moves as you turn the wheel.
Tucker Engineering designed this feature, known as the
"Cyclops Headlight"
to improve safety when driving into turns in the dark.
The light only turns on when steering 10 degrees in either direction from center.
The radio plays as you "drive" and plays advertisements and music from the 1940's.
I am not old enough to remember this.

The word "jalopy" first appeared in print around 1925 as a "cheap. old or broken down automobile".
It's many variations also include jalupie, jaloppy and jalopi.
Some think the word is derived from Jalapa,
a town in mexico to which many old broken down vehicles were taken.

We have also visited this car museum and enjoyed it as much as you did. There is also another equally interesting one in the same area and it’s housed in a former mall.
