A Ride To Allaire

Yesterday, we rode the trails leading in to and out of Allaire State Park,
they don't allow bikes in the park.
The weather was perfect, sunny, 65 degrees.

There's a new sign...

The honeysuckle is blooming,

This part of the path goes over the Garden State Parkway

The hubs also got a new bike,
I think he regrets not getting an electric bike so he could keep up with me.

We had work errands to run after and it got late so we stopped for takeout on the way home.
That makes me a little nervous but it felt great not to cook.
It also reminded me why I don't love take out food,
it just never tastes the same as it does in the restaurant.
The Caprese Salad with Burrata Cheese was delicious.

Another day in the books, what a great day!

Welcome To My Kitchen

Like everyone,

I have been spending a lot of time in my kitchen.
I like things to be colorful, the accessories are not matchy-match, and I love my red teapot.

My kitchen is not very big,
but it is the perfect size for cooking for two people.
I cooked for 4 while my 2 boys were at home and we always had plenty of room.
A lot of holiday meals were prepared and enjoyed in this room and in the dining room also.

I always keep this long counter clutter free, so I have plenty of room to prepare meals.

This is the eating nook, which is opposite the cabinets.
The glass windows are in the shape of a greenhouse.

I am so grateful for my Home Chef meals...

s
and I love how my refrigerator looks after I get my delivery on Tuesdays.

The meats are kept separate from the other ingredients,
and are vacuum sealed.

I have cleaned out all of my cabinets while I have been home...

The pantry...

Inside the pantry door...
Dates to Celebrate so I don't forget anyone's birthday!

The junk drawer...

another junk drawer...

and the silverware drawer.

I made this Home Chef meal last night and it was delicious!
Pork Egg Roll in a Bowl with Wontons and Peanuts
- wow -

I am still happily working on my "to do" list, I cross off a few and add on a few.
