Do you know what a Junk Journal is?
I do...I have one.
I didn't really know that it had a name, or that other people save the memorabilia I do.
But they do and they put the items in a "Junk Journal".
Before I started my blog, I enjoyed preserving my memories into scrapbooks.
I have a lot of handmade scrapbooks.
I started blogging in 2010, my blog became my scrapbook, my journal.
But I was used to saving all the things, tickets, room keys, brochures, menus, business cards...
and I included them in my scrapbooks.
Not wanting to throw those things away, I started making "Memory Jars" for all the memorabilia.
At some point I realized I never opened the jars to revisit the items
and thought perhaps it would be better served in a book.
- so long story longer...here's a look at my Junk Journal -
I can't really close the book,
it's a store bought journal and I would like to recover the out side and make it pretty.
The hubs ran into the food store, just to pick up a few things...
he came out with these flowers...aren't they gorgeous?!

I do know what a junk journal is but I've never done one. I love yours. Those are awesome.
How sweet of your husband to pick up the flowers. They are very pretty.

Very sweet way to remember your adventures . . . big & small :)
I agree your flowers are so pretty, love the cheerful colors ❤️
Your junk journal looks terrific, i will have to send you a video I watched of this girls journal, she can barely hold it it is so stuffed, some like them thicker the better :). I like how you are adding your coloring pages to it too! The flowers hubs picked up are lovely!
Like you, I started blogging in 2010, and I have been making junk journals long before people knew what they were. These days, they are more art journals than junk journals because there is very little junk involved. I love little bits of ephemera, so I’m constantly pasting things. I love to start with a 12“ x 12“ backing from one of those tablets of scrapbook paper. I will collage the whole thing, then cut it up to use as postcards. What can I tell you? It keeps me off the streets.
