It Was A Winter Wonderland...

 that started just like this...

soft, fluffy, light powdery snow.

As the evening progressed, the storm laid a blanket of white crystals on everything it touched.

Encapsulating each and every branch, twig and stem on every single tree and shrub.

- it was mesmerizing -

It had not stopped snowing before we climbed in to bed.
It snowed all night and we woke up to fierce, blizzard-like conditions, and it was still snowing.
Travel Plans were changed or cancelled, schools, food stores, pharmacy's and gas stations were closed.
A travel ban was put into place, preventing the use of all roads in New Jersey.

These pictures were all taken in the morning

We took this measurement before the snow stopped.
We documented that we received 24 - 26 inches of snow during this storm.
The yardstick never lies.

I am feeling better today, but I did not venture outside for pictures.
If it snowed where you live, let me know how many inches of snow you received?

We were around two feet. It does look so pretty doesn't it. But the snow cleaning was no fun.

That's too much snow! Be careful. Zero in Kansas City. Linda

Hello Debbie,
That is too much snow, we had 4-5 inches of wet snow. It was heavy to shovel and broke apart one of rhododendrons.
Take care, enjoy your day!

Oh I'm so glad you got a real snowfall! I know you love it! We've had nearly that much on the ground for most of two months, but no big storms this winter.

My kids got about a foot in Bucks County Pa. My sister in law in Cherry Hill NJ got about a foot and half. I've been enjoying seeing everyone's pics of the snow but I have to say that your photos are postcard perfect. I love the night photos - so beautiful - Stay warm.

Wow, so beautiful! I would not mind that much snow if I had nothing else going on. If I had to get out to go to work or something, it would be very stressful

That first photo is your next year's Christmas card. Or, enlarged big and hung up for display every winter. It is breathtaking.

What beautiful snow images, Debbie, and NJ definitely received a heavier snowfall than we did here in nashua, NH, where we had 6-7 inches and it;'s snowing again this morning ❄️
