Hello Friends
Life is full of bits and bobs, different little things that need to be celebrated.
I know that sounds a little corny, but it really is true.
I have so many small things that happen or things that I do throughout the week
that must not be overlooked.
The front porch looks so pretty, I don't overdo it but I like to have a little fall color.
These mums are so full and just gorgeous, I buy them in support of Liz's sons soccer team.
I have a knitting friend in Washington D.C.
that buys them also and then gifts each of us knitting girls a few since she is so far away.
I love that, many thanks "sassykaren" she did it last year also.
has the BEST scent, even when it is not lit.
I purchased this last year at The Rhinebeck Sheep and Wool Festival and have still not burned it...
I know I must but I love it so much, even without lighting it.
is a great website to purchase yarn, soaps, bath bombs, body butters, oils, lip balms and so much more.
Each time the hubs and I go on any kind of trip, we try to purchase postcards that we send to ourselves.
We each fill one out, including what we enjoyed most about the trip, where we ate,
information on how the weather was...and so on.
We mail them home and receive them here a few days later...they are really fun to read and collect.
I wrote a blog post about The Postcard Collection Book, if you are interested in putting one together.
Since I started my blog in 2010, I have tried to transform it into a hard-cover book every three months.
I recently printed Volume 3 and 4.
I had to change companies...the company I was using stopped providing that service.
I'm not sure why I started with Volume 1 when I changed companies, but I did.
The new books are really beautiful, I am using Pixxibook and I am very happy with the first 4.
For some reason I had a really hard time putting together these last 2 volumes
and their customer service was excellent.
The quality of these books are superior to the service I used in the past...this post is not sponsored.
Cupcakes from Simonas Bakery are always a treat.
These are Blueberry with white chocolate and in my opinion, they are the best.
My KC Chiefs lost on Monday night...
they played well and at one point they were winning 14 - 0.
Patrick scored a touchdown here in the first picture and celebrated in the second.
What a bummer to see them fall to a 2 - 3 overall record.
The hubs picked up this Teriyaki Stir-fry Udon at Costco...enough for 4 servings, this was really good.
I love this...thank you Denise for sharing this with us!

Hello,
enjoy the simple things, my motto. Your mums and pumpkins look pretty. I like the knitted pumpkin and the candle sounds wonderful.
Your blog books look great and the cupcakes look yummy. I love Denise's sheep graphic, very cute. Take care, enjoy your day! Have a great weekend.
Appreciation for our life as it is seems underrated by some people, but you are definitely not in that group, Debbie. The flowers and pumpkins are your front porch are seasonally wonderful. Also nice to read about buying the mums in support of a soccer team, win-win.
Love the blooms and the pumpkins. The books are so well done. Such a great idea, Debbie!
What a great idea about the post cards.
I had my blog printed I know a couple of others who do that also.
That cupcake or muffin looks very good I prefer white chocolate.

This is a really fun post, Debbie. And yes, much to be grateful for. I LOVE the postcard idea. We might have to try that! What company does your blog books now?
I love your front porch mums. I bought a huge one this year and oh boy was that a mistake! I either over or under water it..and the sun is not helping it bloom. Cutest sheep in the photo!
you can copy and paste the link or the link is in this blog post!!
I love all of your bits and pieces!
Oh wow, such a joyous post Debbie but I expect it to be so every time I visit. Did my heart good throughout though it was a big smile bringer that you had liked my AI photo enough to share at the end. They certainly look proud to be on your blog. I know I am that they are. Thank you for the shout out my dear friend and thank you for another beautiful post.
What a lovely bits and pieces post this is.
I always take time to enjoy the simpler things in life that sometimes can almost pass us by!
Beautiful photographs and I like the graphic Denise made for you.
Have a lovely weekend.
All the best Jan
Mums are one of my favorite flowers. Your front porch looks lovely and the knitted pumpkins are adorable. Love the new golden yellow one.

I have ALWAYS LOVED postcards and started my collection way back in the 1970s. I buy them everytime we go somewhere new, but the problem is.......so many "tourist" and even historical spots are not selling too many anymore. Even the beach resorts have stopped. I still buy them when they are available. I've more than one YOUNG clerk/cashier give me the deer in the headlights look when I ask "where are the postcards"......they just dont even know, ha ha ha LOL. the joy of such a simple thing.
I love that you made books of your blog posts. Gosh! I've been writing since 2008. I wouldn't know how to start. Your teriyaki stir-fry udon sounds delicious!
Hello Debbie :)
What a lovely display of gold coloured flowers on your porch Your books look wonderful with such lovely bird photos inside. I have taken note of the company who produce them, and may start a collection of my own The cup cakes and pasta look delicious and I also like your knitted pumpkins. Things which make us happy, big or small are precious gifts. I love the sheep knitting image that Denise kindly sent you, and thank you for this lovely post.
All the best Debbie
Sonjia.
my experiences exactly, when i can get them i do but most stores do not carry them anymore. i have a lot from the past, but they are, like you said, harder and harder to find!!
That is so great that your new books are so much better, glad it worked out that way for you. Those cupcakes look terrific. The graphic your friend made is just the cutest!
