Ever since it snowed on Sunday, I have barely done anything but take pictures of the birds.
In order to fully appreciate this,
I must first paint a small picture of how I accomplish this.
I open the window in the back of the house, the one by the bird feeders, and hang out...
camera in hand and snap away.
I never have a plan, a coat, a sweatshirt or gloves.
All I feel is the whipping wind and the snow that it brings through the open window.
It's just me...hanging out the window with a tee shirt on.
Picture painted...I will share some of the hundreds of pictures I have taken.
These were all taken Sunday the 25th while it was snowing.

Debbie, when we lived in VA, I would always take photos of the birds at the feeders, but never as closeup as the ones in your posts. These are always wonderful and the feeders must be close by your window and your camera lens must also be a longer telephoto😏. Like yourself, I opened the window and took photos during last weekend’s snowstorm, but mine are different now.
These are great photos, Debbie. Crows keep other birds away from our yard. I love the little ones in your garden.

Thank you for sharing these wonderful photos of the birds in the winter. Cardinals with snow is a classic winter photo!! I am confused because we have cardinals here in winter in South Florida. I guess some stay north and some fly south. Beautiful photos.

i use a point and shoot camera. a nikon coolpix p950, it has one attached lens 4.4 - 357 mm zoom. the feeders are suction cupped to my windows and the birds sit in the very nearby trees and shrubs. the hubs set it up for me and it's a great setup.

Love the bird pics! And we get crows, but we also get Blue jays, Cardinals, and smaller ones.

These are absolutely beautiful. I love them all. My favorite bird is the Cardinal BUT I truly love ALL BIRDS. Beautiful. I wish I could take pictures of birds like this. WOW!!!

Seems snow and cold are everywhere, which means limited outings, if any, outside. You got some good shots of birds.

Beautiful pics, they sure can puff up can't they, I was watching them out our window and I told Greg I swear they are double the size. When it was snowing hard here we couldn't see any or our birds but I think it is because they hang out in our pine trees.
