I forget when it started, more than 10 years ago now...I fell in love with knitting.
Now, it is a huge part of my life...
the art, the friendships and the entire community.
Wonderful people in my life and there is always something on my needles.
I am still working on my 3rd blanket.
This is a blanket kit for beginners, and although I have been knitting for 10 + years,
I find these kits fun and inspiring.
The kit from Sierra Yarn includes everything you need to make the blanket.
All of the yarn, the circular needle, the pattern and a tag for the finished product.
It is their Dream Cloud Blanket in light blue/ivory.
It is their Dream Cloud Blanket in light blue/ivory.
The yarn is 60% Baby Alpaca and 40% Pima Cotton, it is as soft as a cloud.
I am holding two pieces of yarn together and this bowl comes in handy managing the yarn.
Mary Ellen who received my name, sent me an amazing package, which I talked about here.
Well, as if that weren't enough,
and it surely was, she also sent me these elegant stitch markers.
Stitch markers are vital to knitters and if you knit, you know...if you don't knit, then you don't!
We got out for a walk on Saturday...
We walked on a path near Allaire State Park,
I did not bring my camera and did not take any pictures inside the park.
The weather was so pleasant with temperatures in the low 60"s.
Until recently,
I had never watched one episode,
but Harry Styles was hosting last Saturday so we stayed up and watched it.
It is definitely not my kind of show, I know it is very popular but slapstick comedy is not my thing.
I am glad I watched,
Harry performed two singles from his new album and I really enjoyed seeing him perform.
You may remember that we have tickets to see him at Madison Square Garden in September.
We also have tickets to see...
Things are all starting to fall into place and it feels a bit like spring!

Hello Debbie,
Your blanket looks beautiful, I love the yarn colors.
The stitch markers are pretty, they look like pearls.
Lovely sky capture! I am never awake to see SNL, not that I would be watching it. Shrek the musical sounds fun! Take care, enjoy your day! Have a wonderful week!
Your definition of sticks and strings is way different than mine. I immediately thought of the bows and arrows.
I've not ever heard HS sing yet. Seen his picture on magazines at Barnes. Love the bowl you use for yarn and that you enjoy the hobby so much. That's the best!
Beautiful colors on your knitting. I am a just a beginner.
I watched SNL this week just parts really, I shut it off not my cup of tea but in the early years of SNL it was very funny with the original players.
You have some fun times ahead.
Cathy
What a beautiful sky! I love a good walk and I am glad you got out and enjoyed one. Sounds like you have some fun things coming up!!
You know what, your yarn matches that amazing cloud/sky picture you took! Maybe you meant it to be...
Love the colors for that blanket. I think those might be the prettiest stitch markers I have ever seen.
I watched SNL years ago when it first came out. After the first season and new people came on it was never the same for me.
You clearly enjoy your knitting, your blanket is coming along well, and I like the bowl that your yarn is in.
What a beautiful sky capture that is, here in the UK we have had blue skies recently.
Perhaps Spring really is here!
All the best Jan
I thought your photo of the clouds in the sky was at first another photo of your knitting! Linda in Kansas
I have only done simple knitting so haven't used markers, I think one time something called for it and I stitched in a different piece of yarn if I remember right, that was too many years ago :)
Wow you had never watched Saturday night live before, I tape them and watch them later, we can't stay awake that late. He is a good actor.
That is a lovely shade of blue. I don't watch all of Saturday Night Live but I do enjoy watching clips on social media.
What a lovely piece and it's beautiful and very much the same color yarn as a dragon-scarf my daughter made for me. Enjoy your weather, and Happy Spring to you.
Your knitting looks professional and it's nice that you find it so enjoyable. I haven't watched Saturday night Live in years.
