Saying Good-bye To Barlows

If you have followed my blog for any length of time, you know my favorite garden center is
I have been buying all my plants and flowers at Barlows for at least 35 years.
The people here are like family, the kindest group of salespeople I have ever met.
Every season, for every reason...so many gifts have been purchased here.
The sad news is, they are closing on October 31, 2025.
Their final fall, they have been a family run business for 42 years.

I took a few pictures as I took my last walk through, I am really going to miss this place.
Here are a few links to posts I have made on some of my many visits.

- bye, bye Barlows, you will be missed -

  2. How sad to see such an established business close! Hope it’s their choice not a necessity.

  4. Dear Debbie!
This is truly sad news. Yes, the company is fantastic. Or maybe it's not a sure thing yet?
    Have a wonderful autumn week.

  9. Wow! That's so sad. Is someone buying it? Could the greenhouse be turned into a community garden? (There's always the new pot start=ups who would love it....) Linda in Kansas

  10. Really amazing fall pics from the farm. We have a similar situation near us (in PA)- it's a family owned farm and the adult kids don't want to take it over. They have already sold off a good portion of it for condos and not sure when they are closing. So sad.. Looks like a beautiful place to shop.
