I've had a busy week and I have been so tired...
out just for a drive I saw a few critters to photograph and share.
I stumbled upon what seemed to be a Cormorant Family, 2 large and 2 small.
They were pretty far out but using my zoom, I was able to get some decent pictures.
I have zero expertise with these.
The main reason we stopped was so I could take pictures of the Egrets.
They were so far away, I knew the pictures would not be good...but I was shocked they were still here.
I snapped a picture of this duck, I was not sure if it was a hybrid or a
American Black Duck
It had the black feathers outlining the beak so I decided on the black duck.
Please let me know what you think.
This is a lousy post...I will try to do better next week.

You took such good photos. And yes...even fun things can be so tiring. Take care of yourself sweet friend!
What splendid sightings and beautiful photos.
Hello Debbie,
I enjoyed seeing your birds and photos. I like the Cormorants and the Egret. The duck could be a hybrid mallard? Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
I like to watch the egrets here too, stalking in the marshes, we are on big hurricane 🌀 watch here.....
Your posts never disappoint. Love seeing the Egrets.
I don't know much about ducks apart from seeing the regular kind but this is a beauty. It also always fascinates me how a cormorant swims with its body almost submerged. Great photos Debbie!
Beautiful photos, Debbie.
Hi Debbie. Here in the Netherlands we see the merganses also in the winter. Beautiful photos
What a lovely post, the cormorants, egrets, and that duck all look beautiful.
Beautiful blog
Please read my post
Lovely shots! I almost fell asleep at a most interesting lecture yesterday 😅
I enjoyed this post and seeing your photographs.
I hope you get a chance to rest a while after your busy week.
All the best Jan
All the photos are lovely and I enjoyed seeing the area. Rest up!!
This is not a lousy post at all, I enjoyed, all the pics, your zoom really picks them up nicely :) Hopefully next week won't be so busy and you can get refreshed!
Debbie, you are too hard on yourself. Your photos are lovely, but when you feel tired things don't always seem good. Take time out, and rest.
Lovely water birds! That’s a beautiful duck.
