Hershey's Chocolate Cookie House

- I picked this kit up in Hershey - 
If you have never made one, they are not all they are "cracked" up to be!

Our base was "cracked", elmers glue was needed for the repair.

Don't tell anyone - although I didn't think anyone would eat it after it was done anyway.

Do people eat these things??- we are first timers!!

It was fun to put together...

Mike was the building inspector!

The best part was the special alone time with Mike.

Mike wore 2 hats - taste tester and building inspector,

everything was approved!

We ran out of white frosting so we "tweaked" it just a little,

I think ours looks great!

Everyone was happy with the end results...

But fyi - these things are not so easy to put together!

So That Was Christmas...

I was up early Christmas morning - before the sun - the house was dark, still and quiet.

I poured a cup of tea and drank it as I wandered around the house.

Santa had come 
and I wanted to enjoy a few minutes by myself, 

looking at my beautiful home and all that I have been blessed with.

I turned all the Christmas lights on and I updated the Christmas countdown snowman,

"0" days until Christmas!

As the sun came up, it's pretty light shined inside the house, making everything more beautiful.

I picked up my camera to capture the magic, so I would never forget it.

I received so many beautiful Christmas cards this year...


Back in the kitchen, 
I sighed a sigh of relief to see there were still some home baked Christmas cookies left.

I never picked up the camera again - but I have a lot of beautiful memories!!
