Ocean Grove has 2 Craft Festivals each year, one in early summer and one in the fall.
I try to go to both,
because I enjoy the vendors they host,
the temperature is always cooler in autumn and the atmosphere is wonderful.
Mostly jazz, they are really awesome and provide a great vibe.
I think there are about 150 vendors,
I often see some unique crafts and things I purchase to give for Christmas gifts.
We ate at Mr. shrimp...we did not have to wait for a table like these two did.
I had Lobster Franchise...
the hubs dined on Fried Shrimp, amazing French Fries and Mixed Vegetables.
The food was excellent.
We were going to eat on the boardwalk in Asbury Park but they were hosting the
You could not get a car within a few miles of the boardwalk and we had no desire to see Zombies.
A stop at the bakery, I shared some pictures in a seperate post...we each got a cupcake.
Here is a picture of the items I purchased at the craft show...
I liked the ceramic magnet of New Jersey, I bought it to put in Mikes stocking, a reminder of home for him.
My friend Leanne recently pictured one like it on her blog
and I thought it would be a great stocking stuffer for him.
I bought a jar of homemade Raspberry Jam, they had some really unique flavors...
I liked the "Jersey Jam", (Peach & Blueberry) but I'm sure the raspberry will be delicious.
The 2 items on the right are air fresheners, one is lemon scent, the other is cherry.
The plastic pouch is from Best Darn Foods their Lazy Day Soup
All you have to add is 1/2 pound of ground beef or chicken, 6 cups of stock and a splash of olive oil.
it holds one or two balls of yarn to keep them steady so they don't get away from you.
You thread the yarn you are working with through the holes and this works perfectly
in controlling the ball/balls of yarn...if you knit, you understand!
So that is it...the big nor'easter over the weekend was a bit of a disappointment.
We got some heavy rain, a little wind but it was really just a regular storm.
But...I love a good storm, I love when it rains and we are able to stay at home, the best part.
Did anyone get a big nor'easter?
I love going to craft festivals. This looks like a good one. My mother in law used to knit and I can remember the sometimes issues with the yarn. The yarn holder is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteThe Jersey Jam sounds delicious and an unusual combination. I’d have avoided the zombies too.
ReplyDeleteAll this food looks so good.
