Saturday Critters #553

I went back to Lake of the Lilies yesterday to visit with mamma swan and her babies.
They were easy to find, up on the grass in the same location I always see them in.

Mamma was preening herself,..

the young ones were in and out of napping.
There are only 2 left and they look to be quite big, I did not see them standing.

What a thrill to watch them grow up, soon they will just blend in with all the other swans on the lake.

  6. They grow so fast the same with the loons on the lake here they just hatched around the 4th of July, and they will fly south in October with their parents.
