Sweet Sparrows

 During a recent dusting of snow,
this sweet sparrow couple took up residence in my spectacular birdhouse by the front door.
Made from all recycled elements, it is a favorite of mine and the birds.

    Oh so nice to see that they are enjoying the house as much as you do. We have had the stray cats of our neighborhood coming around again and that is causing our birds to stay away :( but we get some brave ones every now and then

    Sparrows are popular birds. However, when I watch them, I can see that they are very beautiful.

    They are so sweet and when you look at them closely, they have beautiful markings! Maybe you will have little ones in the house this year! They sing so beautifully. xx K

    Hello Debbie,:=) How wonderful! :=) They chose the birdhouse because they liked it. Sparrows can be quite fussy about finding suitable accommodation.:=) If you took these photos through your window, we are in for a real treat, for you will be able to photograph their comings and goings, and eventually the fledglings. Looking forward to that!

    Oh, these two Sparrows are beautiful. I don't think I have ever noticed in the ones around here, the lovely colors that theyhave.
