Saturday Critters ~ 285 ~

Before my lovely stay in the hospital, 
I met up with...

Mr. Great Blue Heron
in Smithville, New Jersey





I don't think I have ever been this close to a Heron before and 
one thing that amazed me was an up close view of it's legs and feet.
I was so excited to share the same space with this large wading bird, 
sitting by the waters edge, I could barely contain my excitement!

    Close contact with nature is always wonderful .......shingles not so much. We had Shingrix vaccinations so are protected from this awful condition, thank goodness.

      i also had the vaccine, a few years ago, but it is not always effective. i've had shingles 4 times since getting the vaccine, there's no guarantee!!

    They have strange legs and feet....I guess I don't know a lot about this bird but he is not very attractive.

    that is the first thing I thought was wow look at those legs and feet, that is just amazing, I have never gotten a picture with them in that pose, isn't it so exciting :) Great job and thanks for sharing, hope every day your feeling a little better!
