March - In Like A Lion

Unless you live on Mars,
you know the Jersey Shore had a Nor'easter yesterday.
All the hype was there, days leading up to it, the forecast kept changing.
First we were predicted to get 1 - 3 inches, and it grew from there.
By yesterday, we were in the 12 - 18 inches bracket,
or one case of wine, however you view it!
At 5:30 last night we had less than 1 inch on the ground...
that's a big yawn.
But at 5:30 everything changed and within a few hours, 6 inches had fallen.
And this morning I woke to this...

I woke up early, I was so excited...I think we got about 18 inches.
Let's hope March exits like a lamb!

  2. Hello Debbie, we had a little less than you did. 18 inches is too much. I hope this is the end of the snow. Your views are beautiful. Pretty captures of your snow filled yard. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!

  3. WOW! Isn't it beautiful? I hope the heavy snow doesn't break any bush or tree branches.
I lost 2 large Lilac bush branches when we had our big snow a couple of weeks ago.

  5. Mars, or another country. The entire rest of the world doesn’t get news about US weather.

  7. Oh but these are gorgeous sights! I love the bluish light in your first set of photos & the views over the water are fabulous!
Poor trees look ready to faint under the weight of all that snow!

  9. I must live on Mars. =) Wow oh Wow!! Amazing photos, Debbie. Your wintry wonderland looks positively gorgeous. What a delight to scroll through each sublime photo and drink in the mastery of your photography. A couple of days ago sunny blue skies and blue ocean and then your landscape blanketed in snow.....amazing!!

  10. I'm not a snow lover and thankfully in my part of the UK we don't usually get too much ...
However, it does look so beautiful - especially in your series of photographs.

    Keep warm

    All the best Jan

  11. Yes, let March exit like a lamb. Your photos are like a winter wonderland for sure. They are all beautiful. We are in a raining season. We get predictions for snow and then really get what they say. We really need the moisture. We have had a great rainstorm today.
    Blessings and hugs!

  15. Simply beautiful, at least to us who live far far away from you, Debbie. Thank you for sharing your world with us; it is always a pleasure to see you, and what you've been up to. :)

  17. I hope so too, Debbie.
Here in NY, we are used to tough winters, but you know, I don't ever remember a March that was this cold, and cloudy, and looooooooooooong. We still have a lot of snow on the ground, but it is melting slowly.
I like your snow better than I like my snow. So new and clean, and ours is all muddy now.
    Your photographs are just beautiful!
    xo.

  18. Wow!! Our forecast kept changing also, but it seems we completely dodged the storm. I wasn't too disappointed, though. The current forecast has March exiting like a lamb - let's hope!
