Saturday Critters ~ 182 ~

I always see a lot of Egrets in Mystic, CT.,
this trip I did not see many.
We saw this one at Stonington Point, right after our breakfast at Noah's.
It was shy and skittish...it did not want anything to do with me.
What's up with these big birds...
I was so far away and newsflash...I don't have any wings!










This was such a wonderful trip to Mystic - 3 days, 2 nights,
cool temperatures, no crowds, awesome food...and my first ride on a sailboat.

 We sent ourselves postcards...

    Of course I don't see egrets living here.
    But, at the last house I had,, we had cow birds.
    I never understood why. We didn't had cows. :)

    I do believe a heron can hear a camera click at 10 yrds! Great shots and it sounds like you two had a blast.

    Beautiful bird! I sometimes see them from my train, but never anywhere thanks be able to take photos from. These are awesome!
