Sleeping In!

As I get older "more mature" I "sleep in" in the morning.
I have 2 grown sons and I did my time getting up early.
At this time in my life, there are no little ones, there is no alarm clock,
no school buses or job to rush to.
I don't "love" sleeping in - I always enjoyed getting up early and starting my day at dawn.
But life is good - and I have a great acceptance of going with the flow.
But when you sleep in - you miss the sunrise and winter presents the most amazing sunrises.
Two days ago, I got up early with the hubs and the sunrise was just spectacular.

This was the first picture I took, and I had a feeling the color was coming...
I am sharing these images with you in the order they were taken.

Another Sunrise - Another New Beginning -
Blessed are those who see beautiful things in humble places, where others see nothing!

  7. It was gorgeous. It's the bonus that I get during those freezing cold mornings at the bus stop with Dalton. He has a long walk and it's usually still dark, so I like grabbing my coffee and driving him over. We usually watch the sun rise and yes, that morning was extra spectacular. You chose a good morning to not sleep in!!!

  8. Wow - I especially love the one with all the purple! At this time of year, the sun rises while I'm on the train to work - sometimes I get a peek out the window. You the perfect morning to get up early!

  10. Now that I live here, with houses all around, I see no sunrises or sunsets, I have no open horizon view.
Would you believe I set my alarm for 9:00 and take any day I awake before then as an "early rise'. LOL

  18. Oh my are those ever stunning, God surely blessed you that morning for getting up early ,those are just amazing pictures!!! Those kind of mornings just start your day off perfectly don't they :) When I had Peanut she always had me up between 5 and 6 in the morning, now that she is gone I find myself some mornings not waking up until 7 or 7:30, feels so weird, but then there are mornings like this one that I was up at 5:50.
