I visit Lake of the Lilies in Point Pleasant Beach often.
It's not far from home but it is hit or miss with seeing wildlife and birds there.
It is a wildlife preserve,
fenced off so you can't get right up to the water.
We went last Sunday and the place was busy, lot's of ducks...
and a few pretty Swans.
This Swan was not able to loose that long weed it had picked up.
I think this is a Domestic Mallard...
hanging with the "regular" mallards.
And an American Coot, this sighting is a first for me!!

love ducks of any kind. :) nice you got to see a coot up close! i've only seen them far out on a lake.

ReplyDeletewow, I love those pretty swan pictures! I tried and tried and tried to get swan pictures recently....and that swan just WASNT HAVING IT. Every time I was ready to make the picture....CLICK.......he would ON PURPOSE I TELL YA........turn and hide his head. ha ha ha lOL
