Good Fences ~ Edition 129 ~

September is birthday month at our house.
Oldest son Scott was born on September 5th of 1982 and less than a year later,
youngest son Michael arrived on September 2nd, 1983.
It was fun having them so close in age and it became a real conversation piece.
Even though it is only 3 days,
people are surprised to hear of two children being born less than a year apart.
Mike visited last week for his birthday
and of course putt-putt was on the list of activities for while he was here.

Chuck is orange, I'm purple, what are the odds...

Mike and the hubs!

Smugglers Quay Adventure Golf...Seaside, NJ, an awesome course!

Did we keep score you ask, well of course we did...Mike is a lil competitive.

We let him win for his birthday...

It's a great course too and a bonus with so many fences!

  9. Well, that looked like a bunch of fun, Debbie. Great way to celebrate birthdays. I have a Michael born in Sept. the 8th (today) to be exact. But, he's older. born in 1957 in Hawaii. Living in Alabama now, so I won't be seeing him to help him celebrate his day. Boo Hoo.

  15. Aren't you a lovely mum to let your son win on his birthday. =) Great photos of a fun day's celebration. I think it is lovely your sons are so close in age. It would have been great growing up with their ages so close. I would think they would have been the best of mates.

  20. That is quite the mini golf course! Jeez. I play once a summer with my girlfriends -- they are always glad I'm back in town because they know then that none of them will lose. That course looks hard though -- some of us old girls probably couldn't make it up to some of those. Happy Birthday to the boys! And I have cousins -- brother and sister -- who are 10 months apart. (There were jokes I didn't understand as a kid). Ours were a whopping 18 months apart -- all four of them. (more jokes?)

  25. Oh, this was a really fun post. The miniture golf place looks so unique. My hubby and I really like to play miniture golf. I really enjoyed reading more about your sons. One year a part, wow, that wears me out even thinking about it. Almost like having twins for sure. You are so awesome! Loved all the photos; of course, you already know that. You do have a handsome son and hubby and you are just so cute.
    Blessings and hugs~
