There's No Place Like Home...

32 years ago, the hubs came home, and told me he had bought a piece of property,
1 acre, on a winding river.
It was a done deal, without me ever seeing it, he said I would love it.
When he took me to see it, I fell in love.
Located in the town I grew up in, on a cul-de-sac,
it would be the perfect place to raise our boys.

He said he was going to build our dream home and he did.
32 years later, we are still here and I can't imagine living anywhere else.
This Spring, we have been doing some serious home improvements,
one of those being a new paint job.
It took 6 weeks but it's finally done. There are no before pictures but here's how it looks now...

Home Sweet Home

p.s. Added at 9:30 a.m.
The house is gray and I found one picture from the day they started painting...

  8. Aha! You have one of those interesting houses that looks one story from the front, and is two stories from behind. Love the wrap-around deck, always someplace to sit in the shade. And a beautiful house.
