Good Fences ~ Edition 124 ~

The road in front of this beautiful lighthouse can only accommodate one car at a time.
We drove past slowly so I could get a picture.
This modest stone citadel lighthouse, built in 1840, 
has stood at the entrance to the harbor of Stonington, Connecticut for more than 170 years.
The property is protected by a small white picket fence.


We did not go inside on this day, we have been inside before.

    Love this little lighthouse! Reminds me of the little lighthouse around the Cheasapeake Bay area, if I remember right
