The Model A Ford's...

While we were in Connecticut a few weeks ago,
we stumbled upon The Model A Ford Club.

Not a show, a meeting of the members, and their cars from
The Model A Ford Club of Long Island

This one was my favorite...

The cars were parked in a hotel parking lot,
the owners were inside at a gathering.
Not a sole in sight, this was an outstanding group of cars,
all in pristine condition.
The Model A Ford was the second huge success for
The Ford Motor Company, the first was The Model T.
Produced on October 20, 1927 and not sold until December 2nd,
it was the replacement vehicle model for the Model T,
and was only available in four colors!

What a find, it pays to talk to people and follow cars.
That's how we found them.

  10. my fave is the milk truck. :) my father drove a milk truck back in the day - a little more modern than the model shown here, but he drove a route and toted milk cans from the dairy farms to the cheese factory every day. :)

  13. Very cool, your favorite is mine too, I don't know what it is about the old pick up trucks that I just love, especially if there is any wood on them :) There was a group driving through the Grand Tetons with them, they told us they were a club that goes around and drive to different areas together. Neat that you were able to come across them and get these great pics!

  15. These cars are fantastic. How fun to find them. I loved learning a little of the history. I may look up more on these antiques cars. I have a good friend that goes to old car shows all the time. We like to when we can.
