As I mentioned yesterday, on October 2nd
we were awaiting the arrival of a Nor'easter,
we were awaiting the arrival of a Nor'easter,
and we were also anticipating the arrival of Joaquin.
The Nor'easter arrived and flooded many areas by the shore,
but Joaquin was a no show.
In my neck of the woods we had driving rains and a lot of wind.
Days later, the ocean and inlet were still feeling the effects.
On Sunday, the hubs and I took a ride down to the beach,
and waded through the flooded streets,
as we always like to get a peek at the ocean and inlet
after a storm.
The waves were high,
really high,
the ocean was angry,
and the sea wall was unable to hold back the water.

The power of nature always impresses. In my mind I could hear those waves smacking on the rocks.

Greetings from Poland:)*
Much beauty within that danger.
ReplyDeleteAwesome shots! Love the sea spray!
ReplyDeleteOur south Jersey beaches got pummeled as well. Where once there were beautiful dunes, now stand jagged sand cliffs. The ocean met the bay and flooding was everywhere. Why does Mother Nature throw such hissy fits?
ReplyDeleteWow ~ those are some great photos, Debbie! Goodness gracious. Well, I'm glad it wasn't too bad for you guys, however that was a lot of rain.
ReplyDeletexoxo
Lovely photos. I wondered what ever happened and if you got lots of stormy weather.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful Mother Nature is, even when she is angry.
ReplyDeleteI am very glad that Joaquin missed you.
Mother Nature can be awesome ... we should treat her with care at all times.
