I came across this mute swan family resting on the shoreline
while we were in Cape May.
Momma was guarded but also seemed happy to let me peek at her babies.
I was able to get pretty close without upsetting mom and dad.
The babies were sleeping, it looked like there were three!!
awwwwwwwwwww
ReplyDeleteNot so pretty when they are babies...you got real close, must have moved slow:)
ReplyDeleteHello dear Debbie...oh, how lovely to ''meet'' you today! Making new friends brightens my day and puts a big smile on my face!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by and leaving such a sweet comment on my blog! Smiles...
What beauties these swans are...I have never seen a swan up close! What an incredible experience it must have been to watch this precious momma bird and her babies...so glad you were able to capture a few pictures for us to see!
Have a wonderfully blessed Tuesday further!
Much love and hugs,

Hi Debbie, it's great to meet you. I found you on a girl friend's blog and had to come take a look. Your blog is delightful and these photo are amazing. Maybe you should look into getting a job for National Geo . . . you truly have a great eye for the camera. While I was here I also took your garden tour. I love what you did with the center garden in your front yard. That is a charming way to create a privacy screen without interrupting the natural flow of your landscaping. I love it! I was very surprised when you showed your backyard. Your home looks like a cottage from the front and then it is huge in the back. Very nice. I am your newest follower and I would like to invite you to visit my blog sometime.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day.
Your new blogging sister,
Connie :)

ReplyDeleteOh my, Debbie! What a lucky day you had. So nice of mom and dad to let you have a close-up view. Such great pictures. The best thing about spring and summer is all the new wildlife. You sure brought a big smile to my face today. Thank you :)

Beautiful! There were swans in the stream where my mother lived. They weren't afraid of humans at all. They looked so pretty floating along, but so ungainly when they waddled on dry ground!
