Knits, Greatest Hits!!

This past Spring, I learned how to knit!
Signing up for and attending those classes, was one of the best decisions,
I've made in a long time.

I took my classes here at Arrow Acres Alpaca Farm

We sat outside, with an awesome view of the Alpaca's.

Here is a picture of my first project, my teacher Leanne got me stared.

The table was covered with this gorgeous handmade tablecloth,

instead of flowers, our centerpiece was a pretty vase,
filled with knitting needles.
It's all in the details.

I have come a long way since my first "practice" piece.
I've knitted 2 scarves, and 24 hats.
I am so proud to share with everyone, some of my favorites.

Here I am on the farm, knitting.
I haven't a doubt in my mind, that I will be knitting forever but,
I'm ready to move forward from hats and branch out in to something new.
I signed up for another class next month, fingerless gloves,
I'm just a tad excited!!

Please stop by and check out all the creative people who link in!!

  1. Signing up for a class was a great idea. I think it helps motivate one to keep on keeping on! I love all the hats! They're beautiful. When I learned to knit, I did a ton of hats also, then moved on to cardigan sweaters for kids. Now, as I mentioned in a recent post, I've done NOTHING. I need to get back into it. Maybe I too need to be knitting with a group of people. It would be so much more fun. You're doing a beautiful job. Keep up the good work, Debbie!

  2. Oh, I'd love to find a knitting class like that. I had a homeschool friend who taught a group of us the basics. I found a tutorial on KnitPicks.com that taught me how to make mittens by a video tutorial.

Blessings, glad to have found you. Do visit!

I'm looking forward to your first sweater! I knit one once -my one and only foray into knitting. If I can do it, ANyOnE can do it. Take my word on that one!
Did you get much snow? Like 2 or 3 inches here. No biggie.
