A few days ago I decided to go outside to photograph the birds.
I usually take my pictures from inside,
through an open window.
I wanted to see how close my feathered friends would let me get,
and still come in to pick up a nut.
Boy was I surprised, I was about five feet away from
this beautiful Titmouse.
He cared not, my presence, the clicking camera...
no worries, he just hung out and did "his thing".
No words are necessary,
here's "his thing", in the order they were taken,
over about 45 seconds!!
Success!!
I was so happy for this little guy,
his persistence and determination really paid off!!

Your bird pictures are outstanding! Love your series on the Tufted Titmouse today. I've only ever seen one in my life; they hardly ever come this far north.

ReplyDeleteI giggle like a girl when I get one on the feeder for a while. Usually they are so skittish with the Blue jays and squirrels hanging around.
Spectacular photos! My birds don't seem to mind when I stand near the feeders, but once the camera comes out, they act like I've got a shotgun pointed at them.
