Mute Swans

I got some great close-ups of the Mute Swans
on Sunday while we were at Lake Como.

  5. Love the feet. And that second to last shot - wow!! The color of the water, the crisp feathers and the two of their 'faces' in perfect, matching profile...I think that'd be my favorite! But then, the last has that heart neck thing going on that only swans can do! JUST WONDERFUL!!!!

  9. I adore # 4 and 5. Ruffled feathers and the two look like hearts.

  12. Wonderful shots! I especially enjoyed the shot of the feet. :-) Their necks are so beautifully curved. And their feathers look sooooooo soft.

  20. These are so pretty. Not to sound dumb, but are mute swans really mute? Why? I'm feeling a little sad thinking they're mute - although they do have such beauty.

  34. Yes, this was some nice picture. They are lovely birds but they can be very angry and hiss out if you come to close.
