Seeking Shade,

and waiting for momma to bring food.

An immature Robin Red Breast
sits quietly in the shade of my favorite tree.
That cute slight tilt of the head, gets me every time.

And that little unfinished beak, that says
I'm not fully grown yet!!

I sure do wish I had cut back that one branch on this special tree.

  1. Just beautiful...I love all the shades of brown/tan/nature...with just that hint of red! And I kinda like the mood that the "in the way branch" sets - but I'm a moody gal!

  10. Hi Debbie, I dropped in from Barbara's Commonplace Beauty blog and really enjoyed your photo skills. And, by coincidence, learned that you also live in NJ which is where we relocated from to the VA eastern shore 7 years ago. Another coincidence is that we lived very near you in Beachwood, NJ. I did enjoy your trees decorated with bears as we also had quite a collection of teddy bears, also frogs and penguins hence our blog name (in part). We enjoy folks visiting our blog too and hope you will stop in sometime for a look around. We do make return visits to NJ as my family is still living there. We hope to relocate to NH one day.

  11. Whoops, forgot to add that purple is also MY favorite color and the color of my Feb birthstone. I have a purple (now faded) bear who rides with me everywhere in my car. He goes with the car and his shirt even says "purple".
