After our visit to Saint Johns Island,
we drove through the area, Asbury park is a beach town.
Up by the beach, the sky was starting to change
There was a car show, just ending...I would have enjoyed seeing the cars.
This memorial of flags was nearby...they each had a small solar light on top.
I want to go back at night, to see them all lite up.
The Asbury Park Boardwalk, it was really gorgeous.
A 5,000 square foot,
three-quarter ornate copper clad rotunda that is a landmark along the waterfront.
It is now the home of the wooden walls art project.
Asbury Park Convention Hall is a 3,600 seat indoor exhibition center.
Built between 1928 and 1930 it is used for sports, concerts and other special events.
This was such a beautiful day!

ReplyDeleteThis looks like a nice town to visit. I always enjoyed car shows. My husband loved going to them. I bet those flags look great at night with the solar lights on them.
ReplyDeleteI do like the colours in these skies.
ReplyDeleteNice to see the memorial flags and they must be lovely to see at night with their solar lights showing.
All the best Jan
Before seeing your blog, I would have never been interested in seeing all of the places you show us. The buildings and seashore are nice. I've never walked on a boardwalk. But I know the song! Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteThat sky is gorgeous and I loved that fantastic carousel building!
ReplyDeleteIt sure does look like it was a wonderful day. That is so cool that the flags have lights at the top of them, I bet that is pretty at night for sure!
ReplyDeleteThat carousel building leaves me in awe. I enjoyed the classic cars too. Fascinating that the hotel building was once owned by Johnny Cash. Each photo tells a story. Thanks Debbie, I love them.
