The weather here continues to be a surprise each day when you step outside the door.
It was 90 degrees here last week and we needed air conditioning.
This week we are in the low 50's and we are using the heat.
The weather people are calling it "weather whiplash"...that's perfect for what's happening right now!
Much of the same unpredictability has been seen in the skies.
If you look closely around it's eye,
green is beginning to emerge and that indicates it is getting ready for mating season.
They always remind me of my friend Theresa, "texwisgirl", a blogging friend I miss dearly.
The Catbird was one of her favorites.
Our Cherry Blossoms are beginning to fade...
here are a few pictures I took a few days ago when they were at peak.
Now I will look for a nice pink carpet laying underneath, it always makes for a great picture.
On April 2th, 950 drones created a full-scale, illuminated silhouette of the RMS Titanic
over Belfast Harbour to mark the 114th anniversary of it's sea trial.
Did anyone else see this on television? It was quite amazing.
One egg and mayonnaise, blended until smooth.
I added a few spices, cooked it one minute in the microwave and topped it with green onions.
You can read the official recipe here, this was really good, light and fluffy.
I love the cherry blossoms. Have a beautiful day.
ReplyDeleteThe weather you described in NJ is much the same in Nashua, NH, Debbie. We will be visiting family and friends in our native state in a couple of weeks and hope for warmer temps by then. Thanks for the microwave omelet link, which I will try for breakfast today.
ReplyDeleteI think you have more cherry blossoms than Japan! Wish the males of the human species would grow green eyes to let us know they're interested. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteYour bits and pieces are a joy to look through Debbie. Very interesting, each photo. Your breakfast is also something I would enjoy and have always loved your pretty plates. The Titanic piece must have been fascinating. I wish I had seen it. Loved all the blossoms and that darling little catbird. I haven't seen one in a very long time. I hope they come back one of these days.
ReplyDeleteYour weather has been quite a mix!
ReplyDeleteYour photographs are all great.
Lovely blossom, and a very tasty looking omelette.
All the best Jan
I've never seen a catbird! Those blossoms are amazing!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful blooms. Love the egret picture. All your photos are so crisp and clear!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the blossoms. Regrets are so patient and pretty.
ReplyDeleteThe cherry blossoms are beautiful. Love the ship with all the lights on it. We've have the back and forth weather here as well.
ReplyDeleteHello Debbie,
ReplyDeleteWeather whiplash, is a perfect name for our weather.
Love the sky images, the blossoms are lovely.
I have never heard of using mayo in an omelet.
Take care, Happy Friday! Have a great weekend.
You could be describing the weather here. It seemed that every other day I was changing from heat to cool and back again. I see that you’re from Brick, New Jersey. I have friends who used to live in Brick. I’m very familiar with that area because my husband was from New Jersey.
ReplyDeleteLove the dramatic skies as long as no tornadoes in them. You are getting the weather we had, same thing for us, had to turn on the air conditioning for a couple days and then back to heat, now we went back to air conditioning, today we haven't needed either.
ReplyDeleteI did not know they get green around their eyes during matting season.
How fun to see the catbird back again, they are pretty neat. So love those cherry blossoms, ours are gone now.
I did not see the drone Titanic, that is quite impressive what they can do.
Oh, how amazing about the Titanic.
