It's gotten pretty hot here again at the shore, well, maybe it's just too hot for me.
Each day, I have been trying to get out and take in all that nature offers this time of year,
I have a few sightings to share with Critter Saturday.
I saw this poor, mangy fox by the side of the highway...clearly in need of help.
Things like this always tug at my heartstrings, wishing there was a way for me to help.
I rode along with the hubs for his bike ride because he has been seeing a lot of Deer on his rides.
I was sitting in the car knitting as this family of Deer came out of the woods.
A Doe, a Buck
and two Fawns.
I saw this beautiful horse while on a drive on those good ole' backroads.
Scratching an itch...rolling around several times,
before getting up.

Gorgeous captures, Debbie.
ReplyDeleteThat fox looks like it needs a little nutrition, or maybe some kind of lice or deworming medication. Hopefully it makes it. The deer and the horses on the other hand, look completely healthy and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love foxes. That poor little guy looks like it could use some good food and maybe a vet. I hate seeing that; makes me sad. But the photos are excellent.
ReplyDeleteThe sad-looking fox is most likely affected with mange which is a parasitic disease according to my husband. The captures of the doe and fawns were beautiful and that horse wassure having a good roll, even if not in the hay.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos of the poor fox, lovely dear, gorgeous horse.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post

ReplyDeleteHello Debbie,
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful collection of critters and photos.
It is sad to see the fox looking so bad.
I love the deer and sweet fawns. Awesome shots of the horses.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
So many healthy lovely animals but the sad little fox is a heart-breaker.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the horses. I was just watching an HGTV show and it had a blond horse on their property in Florida. It's sad to see an animal that doesn't look healthy and scary too. Love the sweet fawns! It's hot again here this weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe poor fox looks so sad. There is nothing that you could do for it though. Great pics of the deer and horses.
ReplyDeletepoor fox needs some food I think. The pictures are wonderful

A very good collection of critters, excellent photographs.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend wishes.
All the best Jan
Absolutely stunning captures, Debbie! The fox looks so fragile. But your photos of the deer family and rolling horse are pure joy.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots!
ReplyDeleteOh, the poor fox. Nature is tough.
Nice to see fat horses. Think I've read that the fox population is increasing in spite of urban sprawl. Wonder if the wildlife office in your area might be able to help, or prevent the spread of the fox's affliction. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteOh no I feel for the sad little wounded fox, and yet how strong its will to live is. I do hope all goes well.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! I hope that a change to cooler weather will help the poor fox.
