More From Deep Cut Gardens

Last week we visited
The 54 acres of gardens are a living catalog of native and cultivated plant species
best observed throughout the seasons.

In 1935, Vito Genovese bought this property as a retreat for his family from New York City.
He developed the estate to be reminiscent of his Italian Homeland.

This Gardener's Cottage was built in the early 1900's and later renovated by Vito Genovese.
Once the gardeners residence, it is now used as a work space for the park staff.

Rose Garden
Roses, peonies and boxwoods, all on display.

Chinese Rose

Silver Cock's Comb

I wondered how old this tree was?

French Marigold

Here we are relaxing on a bench.

Lily Pond

Koi Pond
"Please don't feed the Fish"

Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly

Cloudless Sulfur Butterfly

A map of the gardens...we had a great time and will surely visit again.
These gardens were about 30 minutes from home.
