For my first drive around two area lakes, I was lucky to see and photograph
2 Great Blue Herons right from the car.
The first surrounded by dead grasses, clearly had fishing on its mind.
Here I will share this terrible picture of the Mergansers, they have returned for winter.
They stay in the middle of the lake, impossible to get a good picture of.
But they are here and I am happy to know that!
Next is the second Heron I saw...
it looked like it had rust colored "knickers" on.
It was extremely interested in its feet.
I was thrilled to see 2 Herons,
while able to relax and take these photographs right from the car.

ReplyDeleteSo nice you can have a clear look of the lake from your car, I love the one with him looking right at you, I do wonder what goes through their minds when we are taking pictures of them, LOL! I wonder if the floor of the lake is muddy and he doesn't like the feel on his feet :)
