Foggy Mornings...

 Last week a few mornings were foggy, 
an eerie kind of fog where all you can see are the bare tree branches. 
Day's when everything is black and gray and I can't see the river or the bridge.
Warm temperatures, brought the fog and mist...
our weather has been so unpredictable.


But when you can capture it, the fog is so pretty


The cooler temperatures brought these clouds with rain, it was not cold enough for snow.

And then we had skies hosting puffy white clouds that were spectacular to look at.

Out for a drive on Sunday, it was this bare tree that caught my eye...


and these cool "holly trees" that stay green all winter



We drove to Spring Lake to see if the Hooded Mergansers were still there...

a few were.
I suppose most have left for spring, I only saw 4, 2 males, 2 females.

    So interesting that the Holly Tree stays green all winter. What a vast contrast to those bare trees. The Hood Merganser is such a beautiful bird, it is fun to just sit and watch them.

    I think fog is beautiful and mysterious--- but NOT GOOD to drive in! Lol

    Lovely clouds. The bare tree has a beautiful shape! We did not have much fog this autumn, we usual have during autumn.

    The fog photos look like a lady on a horse should appear any time. I didn't know holly grew as trees. We had short holly bushes as a border plant in Oklahoma and they always scratched my legs. The birdies in the water are beautiful. Linda in Kansas

    I love the bare tree! Amazing shape. Wow, it was foggy. We have not had fog but boy we had some wicked wind.

    cool fog pictures, Greg loves to take pictures in the fog.
    I love interesting trees and that bare tree is so cool, with it going every which way :) We have a holly bush that if we let it go I am sure it could be a tree but we keep it trimmed.

    You always capture photos in a way I wish I could. So interesting about the fog,we don't see much of that here or maybe I sleep through it. :)
