Friday went went to a "Fire and Frost" Festival in Peddler's Village, Pa.
You may remember we were here a few weeks ago to see the Christmas Light display
and the Gingerbread house Contest they have for Christmas.
This festival was super fun with firepits, fire jugglers, fire dancers...
over 30 ice sculptures and a super fun scavenger hunt.
They also had a live ice carving demonstration.
These ice sculptures were already done,
and covered during the daytime so they would not melt.
All of the Christmas Lights were still up,
which lent a nice background for many of the sculptures.
I'll show you the rest tomorrow.
What great sculptures! So pretty with the lights!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you and Chuck had such a good time! We did too! I just wish that Steve and I would have "run" into you that evening! How ironic that we were both there at the same time!! Big hugs to you both!
ReplyDeleteThose are some pretty fancy ice sculptures! They look like glass.
ReplyDeleteThere is some serious talent there, my favorite was the pig!
ReplyDeleteAll so beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteHave you seen Daniel Craig in The Onion movie? Second film of Knives Out.
They feature a lot of glass sculptures and in the movie - the actors get to smash them! I read somewhere that these were all 'sugar glass.' I'd never heard of that before!
It just amazes me what they do with these ice carvings, we saw some awesome ones in Idaho when we lived there and here in Illinois there is a town just north of us that had a guy demonstrating how they do them, it is just amazing how they work the ice.
ReplyDeleteThis post is probably where I got the most useful information for my research Tamilrockers
