What's Going On...

The days here at home are filled with lots of exercising and even more fun!
With the Lakewood property sold,
it has lightened our load some and we are getting a lot less phone calls from tenants.
We still have our Wall Township property, so we are still landlords!

Our lighter load means a lot more time for,

~ coloring ~

~ knitting ~

~ making cards ~

~ reading
magazines ~

~ playing games ~

"yag" is a word...who knew, I guessed, then I googled it!

~ picking produce from the garden ~

~ cooking ~

do BLT sandwiches count as cooking?

This was, by far, the best tomato I have ever eaten...

and the first BLT of the summer...
where extra mayonnaise is required on both pieces of bread.

I made this cucumber salad to go with the sandwiches as the garden is producing a lot of cucumbers.
I thought it was a little bland, better the second day when I was starving!

My tomatoes have been outstanding,
the flavor so deep and rich...and the juice drips right down your arm!

We're here for a good time ~ not a long time ~ so make every minute count!

  1. More time for yourselves is great! Your tomatoes look great. Mine aren’t doing so well this year.

  2. You have been doing some fun things!! I hadn't heard of those 2 games so I'm going to google them. I like playing games like that! Yum on the BLT sandwich. Yep, I call it cooking :) One summer growing up we "lived" on cheese, tomato, lettuce sandwiches on toasted bread with mayo. They were so good and refreshing! I can't eat cucumbers anymore, they don't agree with my tummy, but growing up my mom made a cucumber salad with cucumbers, sour cream and black pepper. So delicious!

    I love coloring; very relaxful!

Glad you are having the time to do some of the things you want to do!

  4. A BLT is my favorite sandwich and so good when the tomatoes are ripe and fresh! I need to get back to some crafting and fun things. It's been a lot of work...and not as much play lately! Hugs!

  10. A BLT does count as cooking, especially when they look as good as yours!!! I am coveting a BLT right now ;) Your food photos should be in a magazine, in fact all are amazing. So glad you have more time to do things you enjoy. I now have a new word for my scrabble games. Who knew YAG was a word? Thank you and enjoy the rest of the week doing things that you enjoy.

  15. Yes, we must make every minute count. I like that you are enjoying many different things in your day. I love that the two of you play games. Your BLT looks yummy. I might fix that for tonight, except I don't have any of my own tomatoes this year. It is discouraging that we don't have a garden. However, with the drought it is probably best.
I must take up the coloring. However, right now, I am snowed with way too much on my plate. It should get better the middle of September. I will have less commitments. It's been a while since I have blogged, maybe this weekend.
Blessings and hugs for you two!
