We left the house early on Friday and had warm donuts at the inlet.
A quick spin around Lake of the Lilies proved to be quite rewarding with some new returns to the lake.
The turtles are back and there were so many sunning themselves on the rocks.
They are generally gone for summer by this time of year.
And my thrill of the day...
I took at least 50 pictures of this duck and will share more on Monday!

These photos are book quality. Just gorgeous. I have only ever seen a Green-winged Teal once and it was a long distance away. It’s a beauty alright! I love the turtles. There are none here sadly!

How exciting! It amazes me that we can still see things we've never seen before! We watch a man hiking with a guitar on his back....never seen that before! heehee! LOVE the Kildeer! Any donuts left? heehee! Hugs!

ReplyDeleteWow you did hit the jackpot with these pics. We never get good pics of the turtles as soon as they hear us get up they jump in the water. I just love those killdeer and Congrats on catching the teal duck, wow he has an interesting head doesn't he
