Saturday Critters ~ 381 ~

If you follow me here, you know I live at the Jersey Shore.
Home base is located in central New Jersey, surrounded by beaches and farms.
If you leave my neighborhood and turn right,
the road leads you to the country and all the beautiful farms.
If you turn left,
the same road winds and bends and takes you to the white sandy beaches New Jersey is famous for.
On this day we turned right and drove through the country and past the farms.

It was raining as we passed this farm where 2 very young foals were grazing.

Foal 1

Foal 2

All baby horses are called foals, regardless of their gender, until they're one year old.
At that time males foals are called colts and females foals are called fillies.

Another farm, home to several horses and one beautiful painted horse.
